Elise Massa

MUSIC MINISTER, SONGWRITER

Elise Massa was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and is currently the Assistant Director of Music and Worship Arts at Church of the Ascension (Anglican). She is also the Northeast Regional Leader for United Adoration, a global non-profit organization that seeks to empower local artists to create music and art rooted in Christ and meaningful to their particular context, culture and language.

As a songwriter, Elise's songs are rooted in stark truth and whimsical hope, ranging from parables to psalms to modern-day hymns to liturgical folk music. All songs are crafted to encourage the lives of the living and perhaps reluctant saints. Her upcoming EP, Sunset: Songs for the Evening, is specifically written for the weary and the workaholics, those who need and struggle to find rhythms of rest. This EP is the second of four prayer albums based on The Daily Office found in The Book of Common Prayer (2019). The first of the series, Sunrise: Songs for the Morning, can be found wherever music is sold and streamed.
